What is Wakeman?

Wakeman is an AI receptionist and answering service built for home-service contractors such as plumbers, HVAC technicians, electricians, roofers and restoration shops. It answers missed calls in the business's name, tells an emergency from a routine job, checks the caller's address, and texts the job to the owner or books it directly into Jobber. It works after hours and during the day, and can ring an on-call tech for emergencies like gas, fire, live wires or flooding.

How to use Wakeman?

1. Tell Wakeman about your business — your trade, hours and who takes emergencies (about five minutes on your phone). 2. Call your new Wakeman line and play the customer to hear how it answers, and change anything you don't like. 3. Forward your missed calls to Wakeman while keeping your existing number; you can undo it with one code. Booking stays off until you switch it on, so you can test it first and then enable appointment booking and Jobber integration.
