What is SemanticGuard?

SemanticGuard is an AI control plane that combines governance and cost savings for LLM API usage. It audits every tool call your agents make, enforces policy on destructive ones, and caches responses to cut LLM bills. It supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Azure, Bedrock, and Mistral providers.

How to use SemanticGuard?

  • Add one line of code to your AI SDK config: fetch: withSemanticGuard(). Start with Shadow Mode to measure potential savings without serving cached responses. Enable caching when ready. For Claude Code, set ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to route through SemanticGuard. Optionally install the Vercel integration for self-hosted deployment.

Core features of SemanticGuard

  • Self-validating intelligent caching with multi-layer verification
  • Agent governance: audit every tool call with risk classification
  • Policy engine with allow/deny/approval rules per tenant
  • Shadow Mode to measure potential savings before enabling cache
  • Cost analytics dashboard with per-request and per-model breakdown
  • PII redaction and full audit trail
  • One-line SDK integration with AI SDK
  • Vercel integration for self-hosted deployment
