What is Purgebg?

Purgebg is a free online AI background remover that runs entirely in your browser. It separates the subject from any image and lets you export a transparent PNG or swap in a new background color. Because processing happens locally on your device, your photos are never uploaded to a server. It also offers an optional HD cloud tier (PurgeAI HD) with batch processing and API access.

How to use Purgebg?

Upload, drop, or paste a PNG, JPG, or WebP image into the tool. Purgebg automatically removes the background in your browser. Use Fast mode for a quick result or Fine mode for hair, fur, and difficult edges. Review the result, then download a transparent PNG or add a solid background color and export as JPG. No account or sign-up is required.
