What is Photon?

Photon is an open-source framework and messaging infrastructure that connects AI agents to the interfaces people already use every day, including iMessage, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, SMS/RCS, and others. It provides native APIs for each channel, letting agents send and receive rich messages, media, reactions, and interactive elements. Built for production scale, Photon offers low-latency agent execution and reliable delivery with features like automatic channel fallback.

How to use Photon?

Get started by signing up and copying the provided agent instruction, or use the Spectrum SDK to define providers and an agent. Register message handlers with spectrum.onMessage to process incoming text and attachments, then send replies via space.send. You can auto-select the best available channel or explicitly route messages (e.g., iMessage with Telegram fallback). Documentation and a dashboard are available for setup and management.
