What is Movie Maker Studio?

Movie Maker Studio is an AI film production tool that turns a written description into a finished, exported ad, TV show or movie. It shoots reference images, writes every shot prompt, generates clips on Grok Imagine, assembles the timeline, normalizes audio and exports the file as MP4, MOV or WebM. It comes in two editions: a free browser-based Web Edition (up to 46 minutes) and a paid Windows Desktop Edition Pro v7.3 (up to 150 minutes).

How to use Movie Maker Studio?

1. Get your own xAI API key (Google and Anthropic keys are optional) to pay for clip production. 2. Open the free Web Edition in Chrome or Edge, or install the Desktop Edition on Windows. 3. Describe what you want to make on one screen. 4. Press Auto-produce and let the AIs shoot reference images, write prompts, generate clips, cut the timeline, normalize audio and export the finished file. 5. Optionally switch to the seven-step manual path to edit prompts, regenerate clips, assign reference images and control transitions, audio mix, resolution and quality.
