What is Maestro.dev?
Maestro is an open-source end-to-end UI testing framework for mobile and web applications. It lets teams write deterministic, human-readable YAML test flows instead of opaque code, and run them locally or in parallel on Maestro's purpose-built device cloud. It is AI-native, with an MCP toolkit that lets coding agents inspect live screens and generate tests.
How to use Maestro.dev?
- Install Maestro via the CLI or desktop app, then write test flows as human-readable YAML files (e.g. .maestro/ios-settings.yaml) using commands like launchApp, tapOn, inputText, and assertVisible. Run and debug flows locally with Maestro Studio or the CLI on your own devices, integrate them into CI, and when you need scale, run them in parallel on Maestro's hosted device cloud. Agents can also generate tests via Maestro MCP.
