What is Inkwell?
Inkwell is an AI-native writing platform designed for screenwriters and long-form document writers. It provides a structured screenplay editor with 16 element types, version control through save points and draft lines, and AI skills that propose line-level edits. The platform includes two products: Plot for screenplays and Canvas for long-form documents, both built on the same substrate of version control, AI, and collaboration.
How to use Inkwell?
- Start by signing up for free on the website. Use the Plot editor to write screenplays with structured elements, tab cycling, and ghost-text suggestions. Create save points to snapshot your work, use draft lines to explore alternate takes, and run AI skills like dialogue pass or continuity check to get line-level suggestions that you can accept or reject. Export to Final Draft, PDF, or plain text when needed.
