What is Elephas?

Elephas is a Mac-native AI knowledge assistant designed for professionals who work with sensitive documents. It indexes your files locally on your Mac, redacts 28 types of sensitive data before any cloud AI processing, and offers optional offline mode. It includes features like Super Brain for chatting with your own knowledge base and Super Command for AI writing assistance across apps.

How to use Elephas?

Download Elephas from elephas.app or the Mac App Store (macOS 13+). Create a Super Brain workspace for each project or client, add your documents (PDFs, notes, contracts, etc.), and Elephas indexes them locally. Use chat to ask questions grounded in your files, or use Super Command with a keyboard shortcut in any app. Choose between offline AI, built-in cloud AI with zero data retention, or your own API keys.
