What is Boords?
Boords is a preproduction tool designed for video agencies and brand teams to create, share, and approve storyboards and animatics. It consolidates scripts, frames, comments, and approvals into one workspace, eliminating the need for scattered PDFs and email threads. The platform includes AI image generation, version control, and client sign-off features to streamline the pre-production workflow.
How to use Boords?
- Start by creating a storyboard and importing or writing a script. Add frames by uploading images or generating them with AI. Share a link with clients for frame-by-frame commenting and approval without requiring them to create an account. Use the animatic editor to time the board and get sign-off before production begins.
Core features of Boords
- Storyboard creation with unlimited frames
- AI image generation (250-3,000 images/month depending on plan)
- Animatic editor for timed previews
- Client review with no-signup commenting and approval
- Version control and activity trail
- Script import and custom text fields
- Public API and webhooks for integrations
- Team collaboration with real-time commenting and permissions
