What is Animo?

Animo is a desktop program that lets teachers, students, and creators make professional mathematical and educational animations using natural language. It is built on the Manim engine (the Python library behind 3Blue1Brown) and works together with AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex. You describe the animation you want, the AI generates the Manim code, and Animo renders it into a finished video. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux and is under 7MB.

How to use Animo?

Download and install Animo for Mac, Windows, or Linux. Install at least one supported AI coding tool (Claude Code or Codex); a free onboarding call is offered if you need help setting it up. Describe the animation you want in plain language and let the AI generate the Manim code. Watch the animation render in real time with live preview, then export it as MP4, GIF, or PNG sequences in your chosen aspect ratio (e.g. 16:9 for YouTube, 9:16 for TikTok/Reels).
